l am an ecologist, educator, and advocate for student empowerment. Currently, I am working towards my PhD in Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology at the University of Nevada, Reno. My work is a delicate balance between research and course instruction and when I am done with my degree I aim to have a faculty position where my focus is mainly working with students. My research then can be one of the many tools available to increasing scientific understanding and passion for impactful work. The topics I am most interested in are
  • Wildlife response to land-use change
  • Fauna responses to vegetation alterations
  • Biological responses to climate change
With these questions, it is my hope to inform and influence the scientific basis of best management practices for the conservation of habitats supporting healthy communities.
Please take a look at my current lab group at UNR and my previous lab for my M.S. at Michigan State University.
